Last time windows 8.1 didn't activate as it said my product key had been used too many times , then I phones up and they gave me activation over the phone will that still work ? It stated to hold onto code for future activations

When you changed the Motherboard and CPU you would of been forced to active Windows again, was this successful? I think you could run into a problem with activation and may have to do it by phone. Its also a OEM Version which would force another activation due to hardware change.

Hi Britec I just changed the CPU , I then had to phone Microsoft who then gave me a code (A , and six digits all the way up to H ) then they did state to hold onto this code for future activations , so if I change the hard drive will this code still work?

OK so that's good you have a fully activated copy of Windows.

So has this issue been resolved? or where are we at the moment and is there anything else we can do to help?

yes it should work if they said to hold onto it for future activation

Hi ,
The latest thing in my technical issue , I have been down in person to the repair shop , my technician states he still ,has problem booting from the drive , in my machine he placed a 80gb support drive with windows 8.1 then upgrade to windows 10 , then cloaned the disk drive using Norton ghost so basically both drives are exactly the same , tells the uefi bios to boot from my hard drive , and it wants none of it and refuses to boot from that hard drive .
He says to give him till 12 pm tomorrow , where tonight hell have words with some of his fellow techs that he knows see if they had the same problem ..... He wanted to coax me into buying a 160 gig hard drive , but one of the reasons I went for my existing system is because of the 2 to hard drive , so won't be down grading , all the hard drives I've seen are like sata 3 hard drives my motherboard is sata 2 but I know that they are backwards compatible

you can install windows 8.1 on the hard drive but when upgraded to windows 10
then the problem will start ? from what I understand so far maybe windows 10 are compatible with your computer
