Have just heard again from Microsoft ...
Hello Chris ,
We have already concluded that it’s a issues with the hard drive but still if this could get it fixed you don’t have to replace .
This Scan may take upto 24 hours so what I would suggest please leave the machine as it is and will follow up with you in next 2 hours if its not to late for you to contact

That's it what they are saying they are also talking compensation for / or in the event of I have to buy a new hard drive
ok the computer are back with you?
but I would still run Check Disk on the hard disk for errors
I would just buy a new hard and get on with
you can use that hard drive as a external hard drive

Well windows 10 at the moment is still running check disk , and although the it's still at 10% I've been advised to let it run over night , so considering that they are talking about compensation etc , I'm inclined to do what they suggest ,as stopping the process now could damage the hard drive , problem is they've given out thunderstorms tonight , so I doubt I'll sleep tonight

My PC was stuck on 10% all night till around 22:49 when the scan looks like it crashed and now I get the blue screen automatic repair with an option to restart or advanced options

All disk activity had stopped and it came up with same options that come up when you boot up from recovery media so I have shut down the computer as the repair seemed to have stopped I still have Reston to believe that the hard disk has failed
ya at this point I am pretty sure its your hard drive
how comfortable are you opening your system and replacing the hard drive?
what your model number of your computer?

I Compton , I feel confident in opening up my PC and replacing the drive , I have built systems since the AMD K6 2 450 MHz They guy from Microsoft says he'll answer email from home but he's on separate time zone from me (PDT) so there is a slight delay in his reply

It's very strange windows own scandisk utility in windows comes back clean however this morning I turned computer on and got blue screen of death straight away , while I have been able to boot windows I ran EaseUs utility britec mentioned in the YouTube video about sinning hard drives and straight away it states that there is an error on the drive
