But not no more, a feature upgrade to windows 11 will allow users to experience better performance while working with well-known archive formats including tar, 7-zip, rar, gz, and more thanks to this upgrade.
Microsoft say: We have added native support for additional archive formats, including tar, 7-zip, rar, gz and many others using the libarchive open-source project.
