W'sup lads,
My laptop shuts down whenever the battery is 50% and the sad news is ,it doesn't warn me before it shuts down.You guys know why?Is it my battery or a hardware issue?

Welcome to the forum Mow
1. Open Control Panel.
2. Go to -> Power Options -> Under the current selected Power Plan (e.g. Balanced), select Change Power Settings.
3. Click Change advanced power settings.
4. Under Battery, expand Low Battery level. In On battery, set the value to 50%. or what you need.
5. Under Battery, expand Critical Battery action, In On battery, verify it is set to Hibernate your PC. or set it to Shutdown if you like.
Play around with settings you want, if battery is not holding a charge for long, Your battery is dying. How old is Laptop?

That BatteryInfoView is a good find, never seen that before. Added to my tool kit!
I normally use the battery stats from HWMonitor.

I have seen bad batteries cause similar issues to this. If this issue just started happening suddenly and that battery has not been holding a charge that well as stated. One would think a new battery would be in order.
