Ok here's one for you.
This Laptop (Toshiba Satellite C50-B-1CD) Is not turning on at all, it won't even post and there is nothing that comes up on the screen. It was working fine until it asked to reset the time on and date on boot up then afterward it switched off and now it is doing this. When is the DC power connector plugged in the light at the front of the laptop flickers so I imagine it is getting power? The only problem is once the DC power connector is plugged in there is a ticking/ clicking sound coming from some a part of the motherboard (as shown in the video below, please listen very carefully with headphones or volume turned right up). There was no HDD, battery, or CD drive plugged in at the time of the recording. Nothing happens when I press the power on button, even when the HDD is plugged in and I press the power button nothing happens, the light at the front still flickers away but the HDD doesn't power up. I'm a bit stumped as to what it could be, all the connectors have been unconnected and reconnected so I know they are all plugged in correctly.
Any suggestions?
