I'm wanting to upgrade the RAM in my acer aspire es1-711 where can I get info in which it will tell me if DDR 4 is compatible to a DDR3 machine? Where can I find how many dims the two different ram sticks use?
Is most ddr4 ram compatible with ACER aspire es1-711

Hi PhilipMoore1953,
because of the manufacturer and model number you gave us, the maximum you can upgrade to is 8GB See the image I have attached from crucial.com: Capture.PNG (Size: 5.09 KB / Downloads: 83) If you are the sort of person to upgrade parts, I would suggest a desktop PC, Laptops are not the types of computers to upgrade parts.

I'm now understanding that the crucial ram that is showing will be compatible to my Acer Aspire. Can you tell me if ddr4 would be compatible against the current ddr3? 8G Do you believe it's a worthwhile upgrade to the DDR4 from DDR3? Thank you
