Wanted to update the current statue with my Windows 10 upgrade problem. And probably my last message on this subject.
I took my computer to a computer store to let the tech try and solve the problem with my system not being able to upgrade to Windows 10. He had it for three days and was unable to determine the cause of my system not being able to upgrade to Windows 10. He cleaned all the MS backup files off first, the ones MS Windows puts on the HD. He cleaned out my tower case, so it looks like it did when I first got it. Then he tried to upgrade my system using several methods I'd not tried, and he still found the upgrade would not go past 32% total installation. Oh he did get it to go up to 40% but that was only once. He even tried using an ISO file but that too failed. He even spoke with a MS tech but didn't receive any helpful information.
Because of some things I've read about Windows 10 from users, the MS Ask the Community was a great source, and because no one seems to know how to fix my problem, I'm going to stick with Windows 7 Ultimate. There are four years until MS stops supporting Windows 7, and who knows, maybe a great be problem solving fix will finally be found in that time.
I want to thank those who tried to help me with my upgrade problem.
