Installshield not working properly on Windows 7
#1
I have a problem with my niece notebook (SAMSUNG NP300V5A-S0APL)
She doesn't know why (and when) but stopped working properly InstallShield.
More precisely: When inserted a new game DVD to install, InstallShield error pops up.
You can click only OK in error window.

I tried to change the folder name InstallShield (Common Files folder), i tried replace folder InstallShield, nothing helped.

The DVD are not damaged because they working on other computers.

I wonder if repair Windows system files like video below will help ??:

(Recovery partition --> Basic Restore)

That doesn't really repair but instead does a Factory Restore, it will refresh the system but you'll lose all data and then spend an entire day installing updates.

Have a look in msconfig to see if there are any instances of install shield also check with Task Manager to see what's happening when the DVD tries to install.

1. I insert DVD
2. I click Install the game, installation process is about 40 %, then computer freeze for a one minute, then pops up error window...

I don't have at the moment this laptop, so i can't look to msconfig. What exactly should I look for ?

In task manager - process Not Responding

What do you suggest ?

Try the Regsrvr resolution HERE

Are you trying to run it in Compatibility Mode?

What's the game called?
