What happens if you have more than 26 hard drives
Windows only has 26 letters available to assign to hard drives or partitions that are added to a computer, two letters (A and B) are reserved for floppy drives. Once it runs out of letters to assign, the next drive that is added to the system, that is not a floppy drive, will not be assigned any drive letter. What you have to do after you run out of drive letters is mount them to a directory path like C:\Drive001, C:\Drive002, C:\Drive003 etc etc.
