Old Computers Won’t Work on Windows 11 24H2
if you got a really old PC from before 2010, then you wont be able to use Windows 11 24H2 when its released in the fall, Windows 11 24H2 won’t boot on unsupported hardware. It requires a CPU with SSE4a (AMD Barcelona or newer) or SSE4.2 (Intel Nehalem or newer). So even later Core 2 CPUs (Penryn) won’t work because they max out at SSE4.1. Its all to do with the population count instruction (POPCNT) for short.
