How to remove syskey password in windows : In this video I will show you how to reset the syskey.
How does this happen? there is a scam called. This is Microsoft Support telephone scam, they will ask you to let them remotely connect to your computer and then try and scam you out of money, then if you start to get cold feet and don’t want to pay there fee, they run syskey on your system and remove system restore points so you can’t roll back the system.
OK, so what are the free utilities that do this? You mention that they exist but I’ve found no further videos mentioning what they are. Thank you!!
I like to know too. trying to guess the password to this machine is a bitch….

At last a ray if light! I have an old HP 2140 netbook many years ago which originally had Vista, but I bought the W7 OS update disc set and then got the W10 update for free courtesy if Microsoft. Surpisingly the HP 2140 has coped functionally but of course it was slow but I put an SSD in it which helped. I mention all that because it may be relevant to my question.
I decided to semi retire the 2140 but reduce it to the bare minimum for use on holiday where my needs are very simple.
So I reset it, destroying all non essentials and any nasties that might have crept in over the years.
Now I find myself in the situation your excellent video addresses. Without Windows password or built-in partition, long deleted because it was Vista based.
Your video is Heaven-sent but I ask if the “signature” of the machine would be intact that shows Microsoft that all is legitimate or is that changed/destroyed by the file editing?
Your scheme is now my plan A but my Plan B would be to install W10 from scratch : bearing on mind what I wrote above about maintaining Microsoft recognition, would that leave me with a legimate installation?
In your video you mention a piece of paper with a check list. Is that available for people like me struggling with your quick fire presentation?
Once again I thank you for your inputs.
