Just a quick bit of info which you may or may not know. I found out this morning when I plugged in a PS/2 mouse that you need to change the registry and restart before Windows 10 will enable it.
The reg setting change is
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt and change the value of Start from 1 to 3
Also (for info only) the reason I am plugging in a PS/2 mouse is that two previous USB mice have had an issue where maybe 1 in 20 double clicks dont seem to be working. So just as a trial I put back my 8 year old PS/2 mouse and I can see already it is better.
Not sure if this is due to having approx 10 things on USB versus 1 dedicated to PS/2 but it is certainly working better with PS/2
