I have a Toshiba satellite l450-136 that I recently updated with the Spring Update 1803 (17134.48) all went surprisingly well until a couple of days ago I started up and got the dreaded black screen and spinning wheel which I thought I could resolve using the tried and test Microsoft solution that didn't seem to work for my laptop has had the same problem with my desktop PC which involved removing the NVIDIA drivers, restarting and then downloading new NVIDIA drivers and is now working perfectly. However, I didn't have much luck with my laptop and ended up doing a Windows reset which on the face of it worked.
I often use a wireless mouse ( a simple Trust Slim mouse) but when I came to use it windows did not recognise it and there are no drivers for the mouse now as it's so old. I then purchased an inexpensive HP wireless mouse and was assured by the expert in my local PC shop that Windows would see it and do the usual plug and play and download the driver. Nope, it didn't and now I am obsessed with resolving the issue. Can anyone help?
Now, when I try to run Windows Update I get an error code 0x800700006 "There were some problems installing updates, but try again later.etcetc.... " I can't glean much from the MS Windows forum that I completely understand, any ideas?
Many thanks
