Hi, everyone, I have a few issues with a laptop I can't seem to get to the bottom of. Sometimes when it boots I get an error saying "Error sending End of Post Message to ME, System HALT!' and if that message doesn't come up I get one saying there is no bootable device. But it has botted one or two times out of 50 attempts. It is running a Samsung 850 EVO SSD which windows is installed on and it has an HHD for extra storage hooked up via a laptop HDD caddy in the CD drive bay but it takes a VERY VERY long time to boot if it does boot... around half an hour then windows is really slow. So slow that when you type something in the start menu nothing comes up. But 9.5 times out of 10 either one of those two error messages will come up every time I try to boot. I tried resetting windows one of the last times it booted to no effect.
It's a Toshiba Satellite L50-C-16X
If anyone can help that would be great

I tried using crystal disk but it didn't seem to detect the drive using my SATA to USB adapter? Does it need to be connected via motherboard?
The hard drives do load because I connected them via USB to my host pc and all the data etc popped up. So im guessing they have good enough health before i can access the drives?

Ajaay27, there has to be another option in the BIOS to set a specific drive as the one to boot the laptop from.

Have you tried clearing CMOS or resetting BIOS back to default settings?
