Hey everyone, recently one of my family laptops got a pop up saying my system was infected with a porn virus and wanted me to call a support number.
Here is the snapshot:
Since I have been doing I.T for years, I know this is fake.
I forced down google chrome using task manager, then I ran Malwarebytes which came up with no infections, However, when I ran HitmanPro, it found infections, so I quarantined them and restarted the system. I will now continue to run scans. I am going to use AdwCleaner, Eset Online Scanner and some other tools to remove them.
Just remember for anyone out there who has got something similar to mine. Never Call the Support Number! It is a Fake Service!
Thanks
