Earphone not working
#1
Hi Team,

Got problem with plugging in an earphone.
Got a laptop Dell Insp 3737.
Vid card is intel.
Audio is realtek.
Built-speakers work, but when plugging in the earphone, there is no sound. Earphone works on gadgets.
I updated the drivers already, for Video, Realtek, BIOS, chipsets. still no go.
Even replaced the daughterboard, still no go.

Hope you can suggest some tricks.

BTW, the driver for intel audio doesnt show up on device manager.

Thanks!

ok download a Linux distro boot off it  then see if the  earphone are working https://www.linuxliteos.com/

use this program https://rufus.akeo.ie/ to write the Linux lite iso to a flash drive

try this for boot off a flash drive

1. Turn on or restart your computer.
2. Press F2 very quickly at the Dell logo to enter BIOS setup program.
NOTE: If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears,
continue to wait until you see the Windows desktop, then restart

after entering bios Select the Boot tab

3 Use the up-arrow or down-arrow keys to select the device you want to
boot from and press <Enter> or press the number displayed next to the
boot device

4 you want the flash drive 1ST in the boot order then press F10 to save changes
