Win 7 not backing up
#1
Hi everyone,Im a complete newbie to all of this so please be gentle! Ive got a quite old Dell optiplex 620 with win 7 x 64.When I try to back up to a usb 800GB hard drive,I get the Shadow copy not created check VSS and SPP message,Ive checked these and there on automatic delayed.Having looked around the internet for a solution Ive been guided to the Disk management/partition side of things. If I go into disk management I get System reserved 63Mb and C 465.70Gb.It seems like my system reserved is too small and should be 100Mb or more.Could this be my problem and if so how do I enlarge it? Many thanks Mrs.Doyle.

Thanks for your reply,I think its files and folders,or whatever is expected when someone says "Make sure you do a backup"

Well, the expectation usually is to back up all the personal files because if anything goes wrong, the personal files will be safe

Yes those files and anything I would need if the hard drive died on me! What should I do? Thanks.

Please follow the steps as illustrated in the picture below, for all your drives; your system may have more than 2 drives or less
