How do I update Windows 7
#1
I have done a new Install of Windows 7, legit copy.

It sits there for 2 days and no updates.

Read lots of links and posts but no Help.

Is it the Offline WSUS I should be looking for?

TY in Advance for your latest videos Bri, I havent watched them yet, but by the Titles I can see Bri You are making Videos from Viewers requests, its much appreciated.

How to use WSUS Offline Update to Download Windows Updates Manually and Install them

#5
Ive had that issue on almost every machine, thanks to Microsoft and compton sharing it on the forum. Click on one of the links below after selecting if you system is 32 or 64bit.

If it says searching for updates longer than 10 min open up task manager end the standalone update restart your computer then open the update again and you will be set.

Thank you Smirk Thank You Bri and All. Didn't need to do as You said Smirk.
Tried many many things, read this read that. The 64 bit package would never work.
Followed Bri's Video and the stopping Windows Update on Services made the ....802 update work, it was the only update I needed, did a restart and ran Updates and yep 30 secs later 219 Updates showed up....all good TY, its been very frustrating.

I did as Bri & Compton and Crew said via the last post and Windows 7 updated 219 updates and it was fine.

Now 3 updates : KB3005788; KB3021919; KB971033 will not update through normal Windows updates. They have been individually updated via packages and individually...reboot and its successful but still those 3 updates appear on Windows updates and just sit there.

Also optional 8 updates ie. drivers do not download.

This is so frustrating.

Windows 7 is so clean I want to continue to use it.

Regards

follow this video to see if it will fix what you can try to do
only download and install 10 or 5 updates at a time start with the small ones first

Ok it has been a while...this was a complete headache....back and forward, individual update, reboot, then to the next individual update, reboot, trying to get the updates to work, after 5, 6,7,8,9 days I gave up.

Re-installed Windows 7, input Key, made sure my Internet was connected and BINGO! all updates @222 worked and yesterday Windows 7 January 2017 worked. No Problems.

I don't think I fixed this it was Microsoft fixing it.

Regards.
