Windows 8 Keyboard Shortcuts

Here is a small list of hotkeys that you can use.

Windows key + M Minimizes everything on the desktop.
Windows key + Q Opens a global search menu.
Windows key + W Opens a search in your system settings.
Windows key + F Opens file and folder search.
Windows key + E Opens Windows Explorer.
Windows key + , Makes all windows transparent, until released.
Windows key + . Snaps the window to the right or left side of the desktop.
Windows key + R Opens Run command box.
Windows key + X Opens the Content Access Menu.
Windows key + I Opens the settings menu.
Windows key + D Takes you to the desktop.
Windows key + Print Screen Takes a screenshot and saves it in Pictures folder called screenshots.
Windows key Opens tile screen.
Windows key + C Opens Charms Bar.
Windows key + Pause Break Displays system settings.
Windows key + + or – Displays Zoom feature.
Windows key + Esc Closes Zoom feature.
