If you want to disable automatic drivers and BIOS updates coming down in Windows updates, then this video is for you. Some of the latest laptops will pull down firmware and drivers in windows updates. if you want to stop these coming down so you can manually update these drivers yourself from the manufactures website and you have Windows 11 Pro, then follow this guide, i made a full video on this topic.
- Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command.
- Type gpedit.msc and click OK to open the Local Group Policy Editor.
- Browse the following path:
Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Update ( / Manage updates offered from Windows Update) - On the right side, double-click the Do not include drivers with Windows Update policy.
- Select the Enabled option.
- Click Apply.
- Click OK.
