If you are thinking about upgrading to Windows 11 from Windows 10, then changing this setting can save you a major headache. The “go back to previous version of Windows” is only 10 days by default, this not enough time to decide whether you like Windows 11 or not and if you go past 10 days, you will be force to do a fresh install of Windows 10 if you want to go back. But you can extend the “Go Back Windows 10” option for up to 60 days. I will show you how.
Open Command Prompt as Administrator
Type: DISM /Online /Get-OSUninstallWindow
You will now see the number of days you currently have set
Type: DISM /Online /Set-OSUninstallWindow /Value:60
This will extend days to maximum 60
You can check again by typing: DISM /Online /Get-OSUninstallWindow
Changing this to 60 days is essential to decide whether you like Windows 11 or whether your computer is stable and don’t have any issues.
