Microsoft Killed Off WordPad. Here’s How to Restore It. Microsoft has removed WordPad from Windows 11 24H2, but you can get it back. All you have to do is copy the WordPad files from Windows 11 23H2 or older. Then place them in the same folder on your machine. Try to avoid downloading files from unsafe sites. Files from my computer can be downloaded from my site.
