Crypto wall - Steven R - 12-28-2014 hi, I have a hard drive that was infected and encrypted by the Cryptowall virus. Is there a way to unencrypt the files without paying the ransom? RE: Crypto wall - GuiltySpark - 12-28-2014 Hi Steve Take a look at this thread: https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/85802-how-to-recover-files-from-cryptowall-ransomeware-infection RE: Crypto wall - redwolfe_98 - 12-28-2014 (12-28-2014, 09:50 PM)Steven R Wrote: Is there a way to unencrypt the files without paying the ransom?a simple answer is no.. if it was me, i would NOT pay the ransom.. instead, i would simply reformat the harddrive.. you need to have your files backed up, so that they can be restored, if needed.. you can try to prevent another malware-infection by trying to make your computer secure against them..
