by pass windows 7 password - Vahan - 11-29-2014

hi,
I followed the instructions in youtube video which told how to by pass windows 7 password. For me I used a USB and all worked well until I reached the stage of selecting Local Disc, I don't see any Local Disc (in video it was D) in My Computer folder, but I see disc F. However when I change the drive letter to F and press Reopen, I can't find my username among other usernames (I can see only Administrator, Admin and Guest in the username list).
Could you please tell me what is the problem and how can I solve it?
I would very much appreciate if you could respond as soon as possible.
Thanks.

yes, I am trying Hiren’s Boot CD method, but there occurs a problem as I mentioned, I cannot find Local Disc however I see my USB Disc F (where I burnt Hiren’s Boot CD), but when I change the drive letter to F and press Reopen, I can't find my username. So my question is what can be the problem. In youtube video's comments I saw that other people also had similar problem.

Windows 8 has been tricky for me also with clearing/changing the password. I have edited the users .SAM file to no avail.

Try using a linux live disc to change the sethc.exe file, its the easiest way I've found and offers two alternative ways either with activating the 'Hidden Admin' account or simply by bringing up the 'User accounts control' and resetting it that way.

What type of account did you create?

1. Microsoft Account? Reset Password - Microsoft account
  • Select I forgot my password, and then click Reset your password.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.
2. Local Account? (follow my videos) or
