Windows cannot install to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR Partition table - IONx64 - 11-14-2014

Dear Britec,

I need your support and advises too,

I have such trouble on installing windows many times:

,,windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

What does it mean?

Can u advise what is that UEFI/EFI and how to install windows by UEFI?

Please help me i has same problems all the time.

Thanks in advacned.

You must have hard drive plugged into the marvell controller, try plugging it in the Intel Controller

Then you want to go to the BIOS and change to AHCI Mode

Also if your getting this error you can convert MBR to GPT which you will have to do if installing Windows on a drive that is larger than 2TB Because MBR can’t support partitions which are larger than 2 TB. So if you have used the drive and  you have created a MBR Partition, your going to run into this issue. I will make a video and show you how to convert to GPT, in fact I will make two videos and show you different scenarios.
