VirtualBox help. - Skye2088 - 09-24-2014

I recently downloaded VirtualBox, and I don't know how to install or boot up an OS, I've got one VM running Windows 7, and one running Windows 8.1. Do I need disks with the actual OS on it?

No you don't need discs but you do need ISO's. But you already know this if you have two VM's running already so your post doesn't make sense.

I should have made myself clear. I have two VM's which are set to run on those operating systems but I do not have the ISO's necessary to launch them.

I see. Yes you need to download the ISO's you want, you can burn them to CD/DVD but you can also download them to your computer and install on the VM by selecting the folder/file path where you saved your ISO's to.

*note, some ISO's will not install due to their size unless you have loads of RAM and have adjusted the size of the memory allocated.

Where would I find these?

Which OS's are you after?

RE: VirtualBox help. - Skye2088 - 09-26-2014

Windows 7 ultimate and Windows 8.1

For Windows 7 with sp1 https://www.askvg.com/direct-download-links-download-official-original-and-untouched-windows-7-iso-32-bit-and-64-bit/
Scroll down for your version and x86 (32) bit or x64 (64) bit.

For windows 8.1 you will have to pay for unless you are upgrading from Windows 8 https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/cat/categoryID.62684800?WT.mc_id=WOL_Buy

So I've got everything set up and running, but one thing I can't seem to do is get the VM in fullscreen mode, without being able to interact with my other machine.

Your need to install guest additions for that.

Download 4.3.8_RC1
