Yes i just looked inside, i have another 3 slots so i can give it 32gb
would that be beneficial or just overkill. Did you see my question before about dedicated GPU and On-board GPU.

but it would depend on what you do on your system

Say i want to put 16gb of ram in my machine can you recommend good ram and the best way to configure it, example 2 sticks of 8gb or 4 sticks 4gb ?
You are going to see a decent performance boost if you go with a 2 sticks of memory configuration. At the moment your one stick is only running in single channel mode. You need 2 sticks to take advantage of dual channel mode and that will give you a much higher memory bandwidth bus.
