1. copy the URL link of youtube video
2. open Vlc
3. select media
4. select network stream
5. select right click
6. paste the URL
7. select play
8. select tools
9. select codec information
10. select right click
11. copy the location URL
12. paste the location URL into any we browser
13. select enter
14. select right click on the video
15. select as save
16. name the video
17. select save
    
    

the video will be save to your computer

how do i open the file to play the video? do i need to convert the file?

• right click on the file
• open with
• choose default program
• select vlc media player
  

also when saving video's on your computer

• file name .mp4
• save as type Vlc media player .MP4

does it download HD youtube video?

yes it will download the highest quality available on that video
