PLEASE HELP ME ASAP

Hi All
I forgot my WIN 8.1 password. I have a 8.1 DISK. I know there is a way to delete or see the password. I have a command prompt, but now I am lost.
Steps
Booted from the DVD> Repair> Troubleshooting > Advanced Options > Command Prompt

X:\Sources>

I have looked on line. I have watched some of Brian's youtube videos, but now I am just confused.

Trinity Rescue will clear your password in 8.1

I'm going to suggest the easiest way is to purchase Konboot which is only $15.00.

Yes it can be done other ways but if you're not comfortable with burning discs/usb then I would recommend this for you.

We can only assume that you are talking about a local account. Is this correct or have you created a MS account.
If this is the case then you can reset it online.

Jessica, I used your instructions. I was able to change the Administrator password, but not mine (I set it up with a Microsoft Account)..(dumb me). I wish I could say I like Windows 8.1, but I dont.
I tried to look at the passwords through regedit...it was how I found out I used a microsoft account.
