Hi everyone. I'm curious on what switches to use to search for problems in Windows? just to check and be sure the computer is up to par.

A couple switch's like chkdsk and sFC /scannow but I found that when chkdsk can't fix the issue you can use a switch to correct the issue and then run chkdsk again and the problem should be fixed
In Vista use "chkdsk /f"

In Windows 7 use either "chkdsk /f"
or
"chkdsk /r"
or both parameters "chkdsk /f /r"

/f parameter = Fix
/r parameter = Recover.
thankyou Smile
