My friend called me over and I brought the PC home. He probably got an update and it auto logs in and never prompts for the IDs I had added with ISUM password recovery I purchased, that I carry . There are several places the forums say to edit the registry to either remove the ID and PW at startup or force it to display the added IDs.
I never see the new IDs it just roars on and "circles" forever. I have added IDs before and have logged in with them and surprisingly they corrected the other ID on that computer. It only had one restore point which makes me think it was a major update to his windows, Kaspersky, booted from usb, did find some 40 things and removed those. I can copy his whole users\xxxx off to a external HD and do a reinstall but I just hate to do that as his "programs" are gone but data is safe.
