hi

im working on a HP envy 7. that is running win8.1
im using winPE to run "chkdsk /f /r" and it gets stuck on stage 4, 285 for days. i ran AOMEI Partition's surface test, on the 3rd line the bad sectors' counter sky rocking. i am not able to find an app that will mark the bad sectors unusable, any tips

I would replace the hard drive sounds like if it's failing.

yeah i know, but was trying not too

it's not worst saving I would just replace the hard drive SSD are pretty cheap
