I have a laptop that has a single core with 2gb of ram running vista home basic and ive been researching IIS to see if theres away i can use it to optimize the resources the computer has until i can upgrade the cpu to something a little better.

Is there away to use IIS for client computers for use of basic programs and resource use?

Short answer is no, it's not designed for that but for server recalls for web publishing i.e website hosting.
