Im reading a book called Windows 7 Annoyances: Tips, Secrets, and Solutions By David A. Karp
and in the performance section people were telling him that they got good results from adding IRQ8Priority=1 And the irq number of the gpu well my gpu is an onboard graphics card so im assuming that wont work for me but is there other devices or ways you can tell which ones will help you out kinda like an alternative to irq8 and the gpu im asking because in the book (link below) it doesn't specify how to tell if an alternative device will work or not but it brings up the numeric data processor but other than irq8,gpu and the numeric data processor im lost. can you help me out britec

That helps but i wonder what devices would be capable of this improvement it seems like fire wire, network cards, and gpu's do a pretty good job but im not sure how to fully tell if a device will improve the operating system or if using the wrong device will cause it to break or plummet performance all together
If your not sure on what you are doing, I would leave well alone.
