I have a laptop (Asus X55U with O.S. W8), that I can't access the BIOS. Every time i press de F2, the PC shuts down and doesn't enter in the BIOS screen. I want to format the computer because there's something wrong with the PC. It writes by im self and sometimes when pressing a letter it writes another letter. I've already scan the PC with malwarebytes and adwcleaner, and beside cleaning a lot of malware, the problem remains. When attaching a usb keyboard, or the windows virtual keyboard, there's no problem with the typing, only with the laptop keyboard.
Before anything, thanks a lot Britec for your wonderful youtube channel (i'm your subscriber).
P.S. - I´m truly sorry for my English (I'm Portuguese).
it sounds like if the laptop keyboard malfunctioning or the laptop is overheating
try plugging in a USB keyboard then try booting into bios

i would try press and hold esc or F2 and press power button, do not release esc or F2 until BIOS settings displayed
That's the thing, i do that, but instead of the BIOS settings appear, the laptop shuts down (right after the ASUS logo appear).
Any way, thank you very much,

The laptop temperature is normal, it's not overheating. Even with the usb keyboard, the result is the same. The laptop shuts down after the ASUS logo appear (I'm thinking in using the hammer, lol)
Thanks any way.
ok shut the laptop down Unplug power adopter from the laptop
remove the laptop battery from the laptop
plugin power adopter back into the laptop then try booting into bios

To add to Comptons reply... After unplugging and removing the battery, hold the power button for 10 seconds... then reinstall battery. This is called a hard reset.
