Is this type of ram not compatible with a dell dimension 8400?

Type: DDR2
Size: 1024 MBytes
Manufacturer: Kingston
Max Bandwidth: PC2-5300 (333 MHz)
Part Number
Serial Number: 2450045350
Dell Dimension 8400 Only Supports DDR2 non-ECC memory only

Search here

Make sure you run 8 passes minimum with one stick in at a time with memtest.

It also could be a driver issue
