It won't matter
All Sata cables are backwards compatible, however, if you're using a Sata 3 on a Sata 1 / 2 port, the Sata 3 cable will be downtuned to the port speed.

A computer is only as fast as it's slowest component

Lol.
Reminds me of an old TIME computer, how bad were they?!
They were slow, and the hard drives sounded like they had a marching band drum line inside... And that PC pictured is probably about a $3000 dinosaur.
I remember the TIME computers  Big Grin
The first computer I ever had was a Radio Shack TRS-80. No modem or hard drive... It used a cassette tape recorder. Used to sit there for days and punch in code lines just to get something like a guy getting shot out of a cannon. The Amazing Waloons I believe it was called. That was in like 1985-1986. After that in Jr. High I aced the Apple 2 in computer class... The only class I got A's in...lol

I believe it's still in my parent's attic...

That's really cool... Not much different than the TRS-80, but I bet the keyboard on that BBC could be run over by a car and still work.
