I am looking for a free screen recording utility without any watermarks and time limits, basically a freeware without any strings attached

I know of ShareX and oCam but with ShareX, I've faced issues while recording at 60 fps with the audio source enabled.

By the way, oCam from OhSoft works really well but just wanted to know of some other free options if any
have you try OBS Studio https://obsproject.com/
I've used it in the past but some of its options were not clear to me, which are important for the recording process and eventually, decided to make the switch.

Let's take the ""rescale output" thingy for instance..

Irrespective of the value of the "output resolution", the final output is supposed to get rescaled to the "rescale output" value if it's enabled

https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/whats-the-difference-between-scaled-resolution-and-rescale-output.31028/

Yet, it just does not work for some reason

Now based on the values from the pictures above, the final result should ideally rescale to 780x438p but it still comes out at 1336x768p
is the program up to date?

I would try the OBS Classic to see how that will work on your system
Yes, it  is  up to date.  Just give it a try and you will see what I mean

Thanks, Brian but I would stick with oCam and OBS; Expression Encoder does not include the codecs that I require, only the "Pro version with codecs" does

I also happened to post about the rescaled output on the OBS forum;  turns out that an appropriate encoder needs to be selected for it to work
