I cant seem to find "browser.cache.disk.parent_directory" even when i look in the folders of root and local

You can create it manually.
1. Open 'about.config' right click anywhere on blank area select new and enter 'browser.cache.disk.parent_directory', click OK and then enter 'path to temp dir in Ramdisk (Important - The ramdisk directory must be created first) Once complete Restart FIREFOX and then Open 'about:cache' and check the path and change user preferences for cache size.
I don't have that option
