Is it possible to turn off disk performance counters off in windows xp - windows 10?

I cant tell if it worked or not lol but I suppose that it worked.
By using diskperf -N in admin cmd prompt does that command turn off the disk counter until I decide I want it on or is it a simple restart and the disk counter turns back on?
it will turn off disk counter until you decide you would like to turn it back on
Oh okay thank you guys we can close the thread
