I have a desktop computer and in the bios under performance theres an option under performance where you can enable hyper threading or disable hyper threading.

My question is: is hyper threading worth being enabled?

I would leave it disabled as it won't make much difference (hyperthreading is just a virtual CPU core).
Is it possible to take some of the strain off the cpu? I have a single 3.4ghz processor running windows 7 premium with 3 gb of ram installed and ati raedon graphics pci e card and when windows explorer or vsdc video editor they seem to eat the crap out of my processor
you can set virtual effects to best performance should help
