Hi everyone,

My printer is an HP Photosmart 6520 and is connected via USB cable.
In disk management, this is referred to as disk 2 (interchangeable) !!
When powered on the printer is mounted as I: drive !!
Removing the drive letter in disk management or registry solves this inconvenience only temporarily.

Why does Windows 10 define this as a removable disk?

This is down to how Windows 10 handles USB drivers. Anything that uses a USB /MediaCard port will be assigned as a removable drive, there's no harm in it, it's just the way it works.
