Good evening,
First of all, thank you for your videos on YouTube, always full of precious information and well explained.
I have watched your video on AOMEI PE Builder and of course wanted to try it out, since you stated it would work both on Windows 7 and Windows 8.
I had no trouble downloading it or installing it.
But when I tried to execute it, all it did was informing me (which of course I already knew) that I was running my computer on a windows 8.1 system.
Why and is there a way around that?Huh
Would a virtual machine be any use (I have installed VirtualBox, but am an absolute newbie with this software)
I would very much appreciate any help you could give me.
Thanks in advance.
Marina

Quote:Presently, AOMEI PE Builder dose not support Windows XP/2003/Vista and Windows 8.1. For users who are with these systems, luckily, they can create Windows PE in systems supported by PE Builder and use the Windows PE in their own systems.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for your propt answer to my post and sorry for the belated answer, but I have been sidetracked by various issues on my O/S.
I may seem dumb, but i would like to check with you whether I properly understood your answer to my post :
1) I get this message when I try to run aomei PE builder on my O/S, because the program doesn't yet support it.
2) I could create a virtual windows 7 64 bit machine, run the aomei PE Builder on it and then copy and use the resulting PE disk on my real windows 8.1 machine?
I'llappreciate any help you can give me.
And though a little early, let me wish you a Merry Christmas Smile
Marina

  1. Yes Windows 8.1 is NOT supported.
  2. You can build your WinPE in Windows 7 on a virtual machine
  3. Merry Christmas
