Hi guys,
So here is story:
I was working on a system, which need a clean install of 8.1. So I performed a clean install of windows 8.1, installed drivers and then I clicked check for updates, so I could install the latest updates. But it seems after countless hours it is stuck at checking for updates.
Here is what I did:

I was working on a system, which need a clean install of 8.1. So I performed a clean install of windows 8.1, installed drivers and then I clicked check for updates, so I could install the latest updates. But it seems after countless hours it is stuck at checking for updates.
Here is what I did:
- Downloaded a fresh ISO from the media creation tool (Didn't work)
- Try my lucky USB which I recently used to installed Windows 10 on my personal computer and haven't had a problem since (Didn't work)
- Downloaded a different ISO from different legal website. Currently Testing but so far nothing
- Followed the steps from Brian's latest video, which is very helpful, good job Brian
(Didn't Work) - Tried to use WSUS Offline Update (Didn't work, a bit surprised)
- I am currently testing ssd and hdd to make sure they are in good health
Any help on this investigation would be most grateful! It is a mystery? Also I used virtualbox to test the ISOs
