Hi guys,

Do I need to load up sata drivers during installation of windows or can I install windows without them.

Normally when dealing with customers systems, the hard drive appears and I can successfully install windows, but it has just occured to me, should I install sata drivers anyway.

Maybe I should do after clean installation? I am not sure

What do you think?

Or any manufacturer not just the sata drivers from asus from picture I attached!
Install the drivers after you install the operating system. If the drive does not show up, then install the drivers during the installation.

This was more common years ago with the old IDE and SCSI Server hard drives.

You may have to update the BIOS in some cases, but this shouldn't be the case with hardware that's even 10 years old these days.
