I would like to know is it safe to use Facebook instant messaging in Linux? i know Windows is not safe
I think common sense is the key to safety when you use anything like Facebook Messaging.
when you say windows is not safe what do you mean Malware spying ? Facebook is collecting data too
its safe to use both on windows and Linux just remember Facebook have eye balls on everything LOL

I see this all the time people Facebook being hacked now to be fair security fall on both Facebook and user but most of time because of user error
- weak passwords on email and Facebook
- computer have a virus or malware infection
- using friends computer/phone/tablet to login to Facebook
- using schools/ work/college computer to login to Facebook
- clicking on links on Facebook
all users error what will happen when you tell them how to stay safe online some people never listen then get hacked
