What partition table did you set when using rufus to create the bootable usb. Did you select MBR or GPT? Are you using UEFI or MBR? What motherboard do you have?
Good day,

I burned an iso using imgburn... it is a Dell Inspiron Desktop..

Should I create an image on a usb drive?

Thanks,

Mike

Yes Rufus is the way to go. I did suggest that though from the beginning, but it is always good to have a second opinion Smile
  • Make sure the ISO was bootable to start with.
  • Enter BIOS and go to Boot tab and make sure DVD or USB device is First. (example: if your using DVD select that device to boot first)
  • Enter BIOS and Disable Secure Boot
  • Enter BIOS and Enable Legacy Mode
You should then be able to boot to that device.
