Good Day everyone,

I have a windows 7 Pc 64 bit AIO Dell. That boots up to the blue windows logon screen and has the Windows 7 professional logo on the bottom of the screen, but there is no logon box. The screen will flash every 3-4 secs but remains on that blue logon screen. I have tried to check disk for errors and none found. I have tried sfc /scannow.. nothing states there is a system repair pending so I rebooted and tried the same.. and received the same message

.. so next i ran sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows Now I get a message that says " Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service".

Any help from here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Create a bootable CD/DVD using Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 and boot from it to find and remove virus/malicious files.
Please try running startup repair
Good Day,

Thanks for the advice.

I ran Kaspersky Rescue disk.. no viruses/malware found.

I tried running startup repair as specified in the directions that Britec listed. I went through the steps and did the repair at least 6 times.

Still left with the blue windows screen and the windows 7 professional logo on the bottom but no logon box.

Please assist when you have the time... Greatly appreciated.

Do a System Restore of Windows 10 at Boot

Good Day Compton,

I tried doing a restore from several points.. all led to the same screen and problem... No resolve..

It's a windows 7 machine 64 bit.

Thanks

Mike
ok boot up to  Command Prompt at boot
Windows 7: Command Prompt at Startup

then run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
Download Windows All in One Repair Tool (free) Follow all steps to the letter and make sure that you create a new restore point, and Backup the registry. Like the program suggests perform a proper Windows clean boot before running the repair, details for the clean boot here.https://goo.gl/cKex7e
