Hi guys,

On my Windows 8.1 machine, I have the Unknown usb device yellow exclamation mark error in device manger,
Here is the exact message:

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB device descriptor failed."

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Never mind guys, it was my webcam, my bad, will install driver for it, case closed, will contact admin to reopen thread if the problem returns.

Unknown devices show up Device Manager only when Windows can’t identify hardware. With that said Windows would not be able to find a driver. Normally windows would identify most. When it can't or if you disable the automatic feature of finding and downloading the correct driver you will have to do it on your own
