I have a laptop with a damaged HD. I have a new drive but I need the install keys that were used to install the OS originally. I have several Linux USB drives that I can boot this laptop and mount the hard drive and read data. Is there an open source product to run on these Linux drives that can reach in and recover the install keys?

Wekcome to the forums. If you are installing the original operating system the software will activate automatically after installing. You may have to use the Microsoft phone activation but it will activate.
